Hi, my name is Alberto, i’m an UX designer working for Ander Group, in Lugano. I like to play with data, code my own stuff and discover new technology. I’m afraid about not learning anymore new things, like to travel alone and i play rugby.
what i like?
My job is about understanding how people interact with the interface i design. i Like to design with the numbers in my head. I love data in general, i think a cool data visualisation is the best thing a designer can do. I like to prove my design with numbers and not just with assumptions, i also like to code and create my own stuff.
what i did before?
Before joining Ander Group i worked for Stylight in the Website and Apps teams and in Lastminute.com in the digital team based in the Swiss headquarter, i was managing the whole digital communication for the company and covering the PO role. Before joining lastminute.com i was working in a digital startup called Cubeyou based in Milan and SanFrancisco. I entered in the startup as graphic designer, rethinking the whole customer experience and the interactive tool the company was developing at the time, and i grew till managing the whole Italian team two years later. Meanwhile i founded my design studio with a friend from university, we managed many different project, from branding to print design.
where did i learn everything?
I’m always uo to date with the last trends and technology, i read about design on different blogs and i write my own thought on mine. I’m an excited member of IXDA Munich and i attend several conferences during the year. In the last 15 months i participated in 3 edition of OFFF in Barcelona, Kikk festival in Belgium, Awwwards conference in NY and Design Content Conf in Vancouver. I’m a curious person and i always ask to myself WHY? This is the most important way of learning, never be satisfied always wanting more.
what will i do then?
I’m always looking for new challenges, i like the unknown. The best project i could be involved in is the one where i don’t know what to do. If you have anything to propose me feel free to drop me a line.
how did i code this website?
This website doesn't use any CMS, it's old school pure code. Btw I'm not a dinosaur and i like new technology, that's why behind the page you see there is a light and very cool framework called Skeleton. This is not the only cool stuff here, i used a SASS version of skeleton that makes everything scalable and funny. You can also find the code of this website on my account on Github. Enjoy.
